Annual Leadership Summit and EdTA National Arts Advocacy program

The Educational Theatre Association’s Annual Leadership Summit brings together the organization’s leaders—members of the Board of Directors, student leaders, key staff members, leadership mentors, and chapter directors—for a three-day session of networking, planning, briefings, and workshops focused on organizational best practices. This year's theme is "Learn, Lead, Advocate."

Focused on advocacy, the 2017 Leadership Summit will be held July 17-22 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Washington, D.C. A list of workshops is available here.

The 2017 Summit begins Tuesday morning, July 18, concluding at noon Thursday, July 20. As Summit concludes, the inaugural EdTA National Arts Advocacy program begins. This portion of the week focuses on advocacy-related topics and training, and includes visits to congressional offices on Capitol Hill. This event concludes at noon on Saturday, July 22.

Registration is now open for the 2017 Summit, and will close June 15. There is no charge for Summit registration for up to two representatives from each chapter. There is a small fee for chapter board attendees beyond the first two. For Summit, chapter directors should register themselves and any of their board members who will attend. For the EdTA National Arts Advocacy program, individuals should register themselves and there is no charge to register. All registrants should book their own travel and hotel reservations.
